Discover Shanghai Through Your Camera

Shanghai is a city of contrasts: gleaming skyscrapers, historic neighborhoods, bustling markets, riverside promenades, and neon-lit streets full of life.

This is not a sightseeing trip.
This is an immersive, intensive photography workshop, designed to help you develop your eye for architecture, streetscapes, light, and movement — all within the city’s most photogenic urban environments.

The workshop emphasizes hands-on shooting on location. There are no editing classrooms; the goal is to produce strong, memorable images during the workshop itself while learning to see creatively and intentionally.

Workshop Philosophy – Learning by Doing

Each participant works with one lens only (24–70mm zoom or ~35mm prime) and a DSLR or mirrorless camera. This approach teaches:

  • Seeing your environment clearly

  • Understanding ISO, aperture, and shutter speed in practice

  • Recognizing composition, layers, and movement

  • Using light, shadow, and perspective effectively

No complicated gear. No editing sessions. Just practical, on-location shooting.

What You Will Learn

  • Master exposure in dynamic urban light

  • Shoot at daytime, blue hour, and night

  • Long exposure techniques for skyline, riverfront, and neon streets

  • Composition, timing, and storytelling on location
